Birds of feather flock together at Grain & Grit on Saturday May 11th from 11am-1pm. 

Are you curious about backyard chickens? Have you ever held a two week old chick? Celebrate Mother's Day with The Ladybird Landing and her chicks! Bring your family to meet 14 fluffy baby chicks, learn about life with backyard chickens and create chicken themed crafts for the Mom’s in your life. This event is free and everyone is welcome!

About The Ladybird Landing

Meg grew up in the heart of suburbia and always itched to move to the country, where the cars are fewer, farm animals are welcome and growing your own meal is possible. 

Fast forward to 2011, she and her partner bought a quaint half-acre property and their life has been full of adventures, from raising chickens, to growing their own food and learning how to live sustainably with minimal waste. 

Meg discovered early on in her journey that friends and family love to hear the stories of her trials and tribulations and always have plenty of questions to ask. People are genuinely curious about what they do and why, which led her to starting a blog and putting on workshops to share her passion with the world!
