We’re Joe and Lindsey, founders of Grain & Grit! Seven years ago, we opened our doors in Hamilton with a vision to create a brewery rooted in our love for craft beer and our community. Since then, we’ve brewed hundreds of beers, each one a new experiment that excites us, and have loved every moment of sharing them with our neighbours and friends.

Grain & Grit was a long-time dream that started over drinks, as we imagined building something of our own. It wasn’t until Joe began home-brewing that this idea took shape — he found joy in every part of the process, from brewing to sharing his creations with our family and friends. Once we found our space at 11 Ewen Road, he left his job, and we threw ourselves into building Grain & Grit from the ground up, handling everything from framing and plumbing to painting.

Today, we’re here because we followed our passion and put everything we had into making Grain & Grit a reality. We hope to be a part of your story, too — whether by inspiring you to take a leap or by simply sharing a great beer that fuels your next big idea.
